She was predeceased by: her parents, Willam Henry and Virginia Louise Stokley (Charde); her husband Howard Samuel; her son Timothy Sawyer; and her siblings, William "Bill" Stokley, Alfred Stokley, Robert Stokley and Joan Crawford.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Tiffany Lynne Sawyer (Tracy) of Pittsburg, Missouri.; and her sisters, Mary Owen and Janet Sullivan.
Her involvement with the church community extended beyond Sunday services, as she embodied the teachings of kindness and charity in her everyday life.
