It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donald L. Mertensmeyer of Carrollton, Missouri, who passed away on July 16, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence L. Mertensmeyer and Nellie Mertensmeyer (Backes); and his sisters, Mary Kay Tansey and Mary Margaret Mertensmeyer. He is survived by: his siblings, Jerry Mertensmeyer of Fayetteville, AR, Judy Kipping (Fred) of Carrollton, Linda Brock (R. M.) of Carrollton, Tom Mertensmeyer (Cynthia) of Phoenix, AZ and Steve Mertensmeyer of Kansas City. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 8:45 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (211 Shanklin St, Carrollton, MO 64633). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
