He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Gerald and Jason Appleberry (Summer) of Carrollton, Missouri; his nephew Toby Craig (Tina) of Gilman City, Missouri; his grandchildren, Madison of Carrollton, Zoey of Carrollton, Paisley of Carrollton and Rex Appleberry of Carrollton; his friend Cathy Litten; his brother Larry Craig; his niece Holly Craig; and his parents, Clell Craig and Virginia Craig. He was also cherished by his parents and was very close with his father.

As an expression of sympathy and in memory of Gerald, memorial contributions are suggested to Carroll County Museum.
