She is survived by: her children, Erik Wayne Dempsey of Carrollton, Josiah Dale Lowrey (Shelby) of St. Joseph, Missouri and Brianne Kay Lowrey (Anthony DiMercurio) of Colorado Springs; her grandchild Sattler Kay; her sisters, Donna Funk (Jeff) of Hale and Jody Culbertson (Doug) of Carrollton; her nieces, Susan Windsor (Tony) of Norborne, Missouri, Sharon Wasson (Troy) of Parker, Colorado, Michelle Mathis and Mindy Elliott of Carrollton; her nephew Mark Smith; and her uncles, Bobby Knott (Martha) of Hale and Johnny Knott of Sedalia. She is also survived by her family, friends, and animals.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with final expenses and the purchase of Karen's headstone.
