He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Gene and Doris Rowland (Bates); his stepparents, Constance Rowland and Bert Johnson; his grandparents, Leonard and Lela Bates; his siblings, Lyle E. McMechan, Carroll Rowland and Michelle Mitcham; and his aunt Alice McMechan.
He is survived by: his children, Billie Leonard Rowland (Laury) of Mobile, AL, Kesslie Corner (Scott), Korie Stansill (Carterville) and Rachel Branch (Kirby); his sister Nancy Scott of Covington, GA; and his son Scott. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren.
