She was predeceased by: her parents, Junior Annis and Olga Annis (Gardner); her former husband Walter Hembree; her husband Jack Stapleton; and her son Keith Hembree.
She is survived by: her children, April Coleman (Tommy) and Randy Hembree (Bonnie). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mason-Woodard Chapel (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801). A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Weaver Cemetery (12701 Co Rd 227, Oronogo, MO 64855).
