He is survived by: his children, Tammy DeVine (Matthew), Mark Wheat of Joplin, MO and Dana Wheat of Joplin, MO.; and his brother Gary Wheat (Brenda). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Journey Church (301 S McKinley Ave, Joplin, MO 64801). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
