We announce the death of Connie Gaye Thompson of Carthage, Missouri, who passed away on August 7, 2026, at the age of 71. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Jackson and Genevieve Jackson (Eagan); and her brother Lindell Jackson. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Thompson; her daughter Kellie Balcom (Richard); her granddaughter Marlie Hanner (Cameron); her great grandchild Mavis Azelea Hanner; and her siblings, Charlotte Bricker, Lura Gordon (Jerry), Jasper, Mike Jackson, Marcia Pliler, Debbie Oplotnik (Bryan), Doug Jackson (Teresa), Karen Chambell (Terry) and Kevin Jackson (Becky). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many extended family members and friends.
