He was predeceased by: his parents, John Daniel Brinson and Claudia Irene Brinson (Walden); and his brother Buford Brinson. He is survived by: his wife Chrystal Brinson; his sons, Anthony "Tony" Brinson (Rebecca) and Mark Brinson (Caryn); his grandsons, Travis Brinson and Drew Brinson; and his brother Jerry Brinson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Bethany Baptist Church or Oak Pointe in care of Knell Mortuary.
