He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Sue Sjorlund; his mother Jerry Sandlin (Barbee); and his father-in-law Ray Sjorlund. He is survived by: his daughter Kristin Silvers of Carthage, Missouri; his siblings, James "Jim" Sandlin of Nacogdoches, William "Bill" Sandlin (Dora) of Belton, Texas, Katrina Thomas of Colorado Springs, Aleta Goodwin (Wes) of Joplin and Barb Baier (Troy) of Springfield, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Brylin and Braxton.
