He was predeceased by: his parents, Elton LeRoy "Slim" Lawson and Bernice Pearl Ogden Lawson; his sister Ramona Lawson Rogers; and his brother-in-law Bill Rogers. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lawson of Carthage; his daughters, Heather Ali (Mohammad) of Carthage and Mendy Lasley (Peter) of Bentonville, Arkansas; his brothers, Butch Morgan (Lois) of Tucson and Preston Lawson (Marie) of New Strawn, Kansas; and his grandchildren, Hashim Pasha, Omar Pasha, Quinn Lasley and Keira Lasley.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
