We bid farewell to Lenora Downing of Carthage, Missouri, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 22, 2025 at the age of 81. Lenora touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Tidwell and Barbara Tidwell; her grandson Josh Boyd; her sisters, Susie Graham and Myra "Skippy" Douglas; and her brother-in-law Brick Reed.
She is survived by: her sons, Ed Downing (Norma) of Avilla, Brett Downing (Lorie) of Joplin and Ruben Downing (Vicki) of Alexander, Arkansas; her sisters, Joanna Haynes of Tennessee, Mary Goss (Carl) of Ava and Donna Reed of Miller; her brother-in-law Danny Douglas of Norwood, Missouri; and her grandchildren, Clarence Downing, Erin Downing, Tisha Lee, Brenna Hawkins, Kristie Zimmer and Melissa Salyer. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Ulmer Funeral Home (1208 S Garrison Ave, Carthage, MO 64836). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
