She was predeceased by: her husband George "JD" Smith; her siblings, Bill Holden, Gene Holden and Bessie Gregory; and her grandchildren, Kendall and Carlea.
She is survived by: her children, Rocky Don Smith (Vickie), David Ray Smith (Tabatha), Steven Wayne Smith (Cheryl), Jeanne Marie Williams of Joplin, MO and Neva Jo Brill of Joplin, MO; and her sister Betty McDaniels of Atkins, TX. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Parker Mortuary (1502 S Joplin Ave, Joplin, MO 64804).
