He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Hegwer and Thelma Good Hegwer; and his sister Gina Laney. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Sargent Hegwer; his grandchildren, Jonathan Mills, Taylor Davis (Johnathan), Hannah Johnson (Terry), Haden Hegwer, Addison Weber (Kohl), Samuel Hegwer (Tilly), Ryan Hegwer, Shelby Hegwer and Kallie Hegwer; his sister Mary Peterson (Bruce); and his brother-in-law David Laney. He is also survived by his family, his many friends.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Risen Ranch Cowboy Church (10697 Cimarron Rd, Carthage, MO 64836). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at the Dudman Cemetery (8713 Cedar Rd, Carthage, MO 64836).
