With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rita M Crowell (Carthage, Missouri), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rita left this world on April 30, 2026 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Rita may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rita touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gilbert Frede and Hermina Frede. She was also cherished by one sister, three sons, six daughters, 44 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ulmer Funeral Home (1208 S Garrison Ave, Carthage, MO 64836). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (812 Pearl Ave, Joplin, MO 64801).
