He was predeceased by: his mother Katherine Merritt; and his brother Ed Merritt. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Merritt; and his siblings, Mary Ruggiero (Len), Jim Merritt (Alice) and Don Merritt (Susan). He is also survived by his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and the many extended family members and friends.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Knell Mortuary (308 W Chestnut St, Carthage, MO 64836). Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (908 Clinton St, Carthage, MO 64836).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts to St. Ann's Catholic Church in care of Knell Mortuary.
