He is survived by: his wife Illamae Thelen; and his children, Tim Kolstad (Danlynn) of Avon, Minnesota, Mark Kolstad (Sherry) of Austin, Texas, Dale Kolstad of Amarillo, Texas, David Kolstad (Salli) of Bemidji, Minnesota and Bonnie Gilbert (Ryan) of Sartell, Minnesota.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
