He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Lee McConnell Sr. and Doris Naomi McConnell (Lamb); his wife Phylliss McConnell; and his sister-in-law Denise McConnell. He is survived by : his son Paul McConnell (Laura) of Ellenwood, Georgia; and his siblings, Darrell McConnell of Carthage, Gary McConnell (Sherry) of Joplin and Donna Draper (Frank) of Claremore, Oklahoma. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Faith Life Worship Center (736 E Fairview Ave, Carthage, MO 64836).
