It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samantha James Castic of Carthage, Missouri, born in Carmi, Illinois, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Charles James; her stepfather Oscar Trout; and her brother Randy Trout. She is survived by : her mother Linda James (Daniel); her husband BJ; her children, Shawn Castic (Ashley), Jayma Castic, Andrea Kirby (Josh) and Nathan Nancy; and her brothers, Jeff Trout, Bobby James, Terry Trout and Dennis Trout. She is also survived by five grandchildren.

The family suggests contributions be made to Wounded Warriors in care of Knell Mortuary.
