Sharon Matthews Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Matthews of Carthage, Missouri, who passed away on November 8, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George McMillen and Marie McMillen; and her former husband Kenneth Matthews. She is survived by: her husband Frank Gilbreath; her sons, Kendall Matthews of Carthage and Keith Matthews (Felecia) of Joplin; her stepchildren, Scott Gilbreath (Tammy) of Carthage and Lori Terry (Joel) of Carthage; her grandchildren, Bryson Matthews and Brecklyn Matthews; and her stepgrandchildren, Lindsay Terry, Megan Clay and Lauren Gilbreath. She is also survived by two step great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Ulmer Funeral Home (1208 S Garrison Ave, Carthage, MO 64836). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
