He was predeceased by: his former wife Donna Christy; his son Mitch Christy; and his siblings, Beatrice Christy, Carole Christy, Edwin "Junior" Christy, Virginia Christy Hess and Donna Christy Hall.
He is survived by: his wife Charlene Christy of Joplin, Missouri; his sons, Steve Christy (Cherie) of Churchville, Greg Christy (Virginia) of Puyallup and Mike Kelley of Rogers, Arkansas; his brothers, Scott Christy of Duenweg and Tom Christy (Pat) of Fort Scott, Kansas; his grandchildren, Donna Christy, Tanner Christy, Taylor Christy Woodruff (Robert Woodruff), Kathryn Kelley, Charles Kelley, Marcella Christy and Isabella Christy; and his great grandchildren, Evelyn Ann Woodruff and James Scott Woodruff. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
