He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ray and Mary Stuppy Ray; his wife Betty Rayburn Ray; his sisters, Billie Fair and Betty Jones; and his son David Howard Ray.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carol Erickson of Porterville and Nancy Ray of Caruthersville, Missouri. He is also survived by two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
