It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louella Ashford (Caruthersville, Missouri), born in Steele, Missouri, who passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo McKinney and Myrtle McKinney (West); her siblings, Marvin, Walter, Albert, Leo and Veryce; and her grandson Carlos.
She is survived by: her significant other Tay C. Ashford, Sr.; her sister Katie Smith of Nashville; and her children, Carolyn Johnson of Blytheville, Delores Huling of Cedar Hill, Judy Jacob (John) of Dallas and Tay Ashford, Jr. (Diana) of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
