She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mahood and Betty Mahood. She is survived by: her sons, Josiah Casby (Michelle), Noah Casby (Ashley), Nicholas Casby (Julie) and Caleb Casby; her grandchildren, Tristen, Ryleigh, Chloe, Luccas, Colby, Eleanor, Gannon, Finn, Fletcher, Brooklyn, Corbin, Brody, Payton and Connor; and her siblings, Steve Mahood (Mary) and April Kleist (Robert). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made directly to Chapel Hill Mortuary to assist with Karla funeral expenses.
