She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Whorton Sr. and Neoma Whorton; her husband Joe Wayne Malone; her siblings, Archie Whorton, Jr., Gene Whorton, Gladys Robertson, Edith Sallee, Flo Peterson and Betty Smith; and her grandson Keith Dale Christopher, Jr..

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
