He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Merle Dean "Joe" Scharnhorst and Ruth Neumann Scharnhorst; his siblings, Doug Scharnhorst (Elizabeth) and Dori Wolter (Mark); his grandchildren, Quentin, Violet and Jaxon; his stepgrandchildren, Madelyn, Camilla Rose, Julien and Harlen; and his sister Deanna "Dee" Scharnhorst Royer.
