With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Hutcherson of Centerview, Missouri, born in Independence, Missouri, who passed away on April 15, 2021 at the age of 57. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his parents, Walter Hutcherson and Shirley Hutcherson (Alley); his father-in-law David Crawford; his wife Carrie Hutcherson; his children, Dalton Hutcherson (Kaitlyn), Whitney Heckadon (Cole) and Carlee Hutcherson; his grandchildren, Blakely, Brynlee Hutcherson, Lane and Landry Heckadon; and his siblings, Debbie Smith (Tim), Darrell Hutcherson (Vicki) and Diane Chadwick.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Carlee Hutcherson Scholarship Fund and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home or dropped off at F & C Bank in any of their locations in Holden, Warrensburg, or Lone Jack.

Coach Brad Gaines wrote a sympathy message

“In loving memory of Dennis Hutcherson, God always has a plan for us all and the people who cross through our lives are always part of that plan. I was so lucky to have had the opportunity to coach Dennis in my first years at Oak Grove. He was a one of a kind type kid, very set in his ways but very fun to know and coach. Fun loving, honest, and very strong willed; I considered him a blessing to have had the opportunity to meet and coach. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
