He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Ajta Cederholm. He is survived by: his wife Lena; his children, Jean-Claude, Caroline and Christina; his brother Marc; his sister-in-law Marie-Christine (France) of Fourqueux; his nephew Julian; and his niece Amélie.
