He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Hallie Lillian Rumfelt Pinkerton; and his wife Kathy Hendrickson. He is survived by: his children, Kenny Pinkerton, Jr. (Jennifer) of Jackson, Rodney Pinkerton (Marinda) of Millersville and Amanda (Ryan); and his siblings, Ed Pinkerton (Sharon), John Pinkerton, Ruth Miller and Rosie Ralston (Steve). He is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two more great grandchildren.
