He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schott and Catherine Schott (Burger); his brothers, Anthony Schott (AJ) and John Schott; his grandson Blake Jones; his great grandchild Caden French; and his granddaughter-in-law Megan Pridemore.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Senciboy (Bill) of Oran, Lisa Seib (Chris) of Sunset Hills, Valerie Jones of Marshall, Virgina, Rose Shafer of Cape Girardeau, Brenda Gray (Glenn) of Jackson, Missouri and Melvin Schott Jr. (Deborah) of New Hamburg, Missouri; and his sister Betty Debrock (Glenn) of Blomeyer, Missouri. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
He also served on the Kelso C-7 School Board and was proud to host the charity event Kow Pasture Klassic for many years.
