With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albert Vernon of Charleston, Missouri, born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on December 5, 2022 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Albert Vernon Goodin, III; his wife Gladys Jane Finley; his grandson Andrew Kerr Goodin; his brother John Wilbur Lindsay Goodin Sr.; and his stepfather John Davis Ridings.
He is survived by: his sons, Albert Vernon Goodin and Harry Finley Goodin (Ann) of Fishers, IN; his grandchildren, Emmalyn Rose Ader (Eric) of Sheridan, IN and Patrick Finley Goodin of Indianapolis, IN; and his brothers, Lester Whitehead Goodin (Janet) of Cape Girardeau and R. E. Lee Goodin (Sallie) of Charleston. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, plants and gift items, the family requests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 442, Charleston, MO 63834.
