He was predeceased by: his parents, Edd Staggs and Ruby Lee Ricketts Staggs; his wife Elizabeth S. Wiggins; his grandson Christopher Butrum; and his siblings, Edward Staggs, Robert Staggs, Gary Staggs, Leroy Blasingain, Donald Williams, Beatrice Brewer, Maggie Brewer, Betty Staggs, Judy Keck and Patricia Staggs.

He is survived by: his children, Sara Poore (Craig) of Charleston, Peggy Butrum of Sikeston, Tammy Barber of East Prairie, Patty Corwin of Cape Girardeau, Edd Staggs (Annette) of Perryville and Jared Sneeringer; and his siblings, Mike Blasingain of East Prairie and Dyanne Haddock of Clinton, TN. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
