He was predeceased by : his father Oliver Haney; his wife Rachel Slaughter; his sons, John Randall Haney and Michael Alexander Haney; and his siblings, Paul Haney, David Haney, Herbert Haney, Ray Haney, Donnie Haney, Cecil Haney and Doris Lynch.

He is survived by : his grandchildren, Rachel Haney Barker, Lee Ann Rapert, Dan Haney (Brandy), Rick Haney (Stacey) and John Haney (Rachel); and his siblings, Ronnie Haney, Terry Bruce McLain and Mary Bell Clayton. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
