As we bid Monroe farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Monroe is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lanie George Black, Jr. and Sue Belle Whitehead Black; and his brother Lanie George Black, III. He is survived by: his wife Martha Ellen Burke. He is also survived by his two brothers-in-law and their lovely wives, a sister-in-law, six nephews, a niece, and a large extended family.
