He was predeceased by: his father Howard Lee Chisolm; his wife Sherry Johnson of Hayti; and his siblings, George Johnson, Jerome Marshall, Jimmy Lee Johnson, Elmer Johnson, Rozella Peterson and Marylin Lawrence.
He is survived by: his son Rodney Johnson, Jr. (Beth); his siblings, Roy Lee Johnson of Charleston, Bobby Johnson of Charleston, Greg Johnson of Charleston, Vanessa Davis (Henry) of Charleston and Iona Johnson of Fort Wayne; his grandson Raheem Johnson; the mother of his child Samella McCatrey Pettigrew; and his close friend Kim Simpson. He is also survived by her family, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
