He was predeceased by : his wife Sally Sue Stewart; his brother Andrew Basarich; and his son Michael Stewart Basarich. He is survived by : his children, Rogers Joe Basarich (Jennifer) of St Jacob, IL and Susan Luehmann (Greg) of Charleston; and his grandchildren, Mindi Fitzgerald (Kevin) of Charleston, Megan Priday (Jacob) of Sikeston, MO, Katherine McCann (Tyler) of Charleston, Courtney Lindsay (Tim) of St Louis, Michael Basarich (Nikki) of Highland, IL, Lacey Compton (Kenny) of St Jacob, IL and Logan Teeters of St Jacob. He is also survived by 21 great grandchildren.

A reception was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McMikle Funeral Home (201 S Center St, Charleston, MO 63834).
