He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dotty" Kaplan Ellis; his sons, Steven Ellis (Jeanie) and Robert Ellis (Julie); his grandchildren, Jordan Ellis (Megan), Jessica Schlager (Jeff), Jeremy Ellis, Matthew Ellis (Jenna), Kayla Ellis, Natalie Hummel (Jack), Rachel Ellis and Sophia Ellis; and his great grandchildren, Alex Ellis, Ryan Ellis, Amelia Schlager, Gavin Schlager, Nash Adams, Alden Ellis and Mallory Hummel.
