Liam Travis Hinchey Obituary

Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation ServicesLiam Travis Hinchey, 18, of Chesterfield, MO, passed away in Frisco, TX, on August 17th, 2023.

Liam graduated a year early from high school and became the youngest person accepted to the Park City Culinary Institute. He graduated with two certifications in both culinary and pastry. Liam's true passion involved spending time in the kitchen inventing new culinary concoctions that he would create late into the night, leaving nearly every pot and pan simmering and bubbling delicious aromas. His dedication and hard work paid off when he landed his dream job as a sous chef at a top-rated 5-star restaurant, Anne Gunn's. His innovative dishes even made the secret menu known as the Liam Special, which never failed to impress his colleagues and customers. His passion for cooking was contagious, inspiring those around him to "kick it up a notch"!

Liam's passion for gaming was evident as he spent countless hours playing War Zone, Red Dead Redemption 2, Battle Field, Rainbow Six Siege, No Man's Sky, Halo, and TitanFall 2. He had his computer, headphones, and mic ready at all times, and the gaming light strips pulsing on the ceiling added to the atmosphere. Liam took his gaming seriously and enjoyed the challenges and team play.

Besides gaming, he also enjoyed watching anime, including Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Liam often recommended these shows to others and loved joking and discussing them with like-minded individuals.

Liam had a great time bonding with his brothers Tristen & Matthew and enjoyed working with his Uncle Mike on the comedy film Nome Way Out during the weekends. He took charge of filming and editing the trailer, which received a positive response from everyone who watched it and generated excitement for the movie.

Liam was a passionate lover of the great outdoors. He enjoyed spending his time in the woods working on his survivalist skills and was particularly fond of whittling. Liam spent time fishing when he could on lakes and even a time or two on the ocean, always waiting for that next big catch.

A day spent surrounded by nature is just what he needed to feel refreshed and at peace. Liam loved the feeling of being completely immersed in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It allowed him to disconnect from technology and the stresses of work and focus on the present moment. Whether hiking, fishing, or whittling, Liam felt a deep sense of contentment when surrounded by the beauty of the great outdoors.

Liam's deep love for animals was evident in his everyday life. He was often seen carrying one or more of his beloved furry friends around like they were his own children. When he wasn't busy at work, he cherished spending quality time with his loyal companion, Cowboy, whom he adored. They would often snuggle up together on Liam's cozy bed, relishing in each other's company. Liam also enjoyed taking Cowboy for a refreshing swim, as they both loved being in the water and having fun together.

Antiquing was one of his passions, and whenever he had a chance, he would visit flea markets and antique malls to immerse himself in the world of vintage finds. He would eagerly explore every aisle, meticulously looking for unique items that caught his eye, especially old cameras that he could add to his collection. This pastime brought him immense joy and satisfaction as he appreciated the history and stories behind each piece.

After Liam's untimely and heartbreaking passing, his selfless and generous spirit lived on through his organ and tissue donation to five direct recipients. Liam's heart, lungs, liver, and both kidneys were given to individuals in need of life-saving transplants. Moreover, Liam's thoughtful contribution extended beyond organ and tissue donation, as he also became a part of a Thyroid study through Southwest Transplant Alliance. Liam's legacy of giving and kindness will continue to inspire others to make a positive impact on the world.

Liam is survived by. His Mother, Sophia Marie DuJardot & Step-Father, Greg S. DuJardot; his two brothers, Tristen Robert David Hinchey and Matthew Aaron Hinchey; his Father, Matthew Travis Hinchey; his Step-Mother Christina Hinchey; and his half-brother Nashoba Hinchey. Grandparents.

A Celebration of Liam's life is scheduled on his birthday, September 13th, at 11:00 am at Stonebriar Funeral Home. All friends and family of Liam Travis Hinchey are welcome to attend.

Liam's family is still mourning the loss of their beloved son and brother. It's hard to put into words how much they miss him and how unfair it feels that he was taken from them too soon. Instead of dwelling on their grief, they are choosing to focus on the good that can come from this tragedy.

Liam was passionate about helping others and continued to do so even after his death by becoming an organ and tissue donor. His family is asking for your help to continue Liam's legacy and save lives. Instead of sending flowers, they kindly request that you donate to the Southwest Transplant Alliance, an organization that helps facilitate organ and tissue donation.
