We announce the death of Robert Werner (Chesterfield, Missouri), who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 94. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Werner (Newton); and his parents, Earl Werner and Elizabeth Carey (Grote). He is survived by: his children, Sharon Grant (Daniel), Mark Werner (Deena) and Robyn Steffens (Gordon); his grandchildren, Matthew Crumly, Jeff Crumly (Mary), Robert "Robbie" Crumly, Bonnie Werner (Alexis), Aubrey Powderly (Ben), Kyle Steffens and Kasey Lucas (Tim); his great grandchildren, Timothy, Brooklynn, Chase, Abigail, Jillian, Collin, Charlotte, Rhys, Ryker, Cecelia, Amari and Anyah; his siblings, Joseph Werner (Ruby) and Mary O'Day (Carey); and his sister-in-law Tari Carey.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chesterfield (114 N Eatherton Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63005). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Humane Society of Missouri in memory of Dr. Robert E. Werner, in recognition of his love and compassion for animals.
