He was predeceased by: his brother Dr. David W. Gardner (Ellen); and his parents, Dr. David Gardner and Dr. Muriel Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Vivien Gardner; his sons, Curtis Gardner and Douglas Gardner (Jenny Balzer); and his grandchildren, Gavin and Charlie Gardner.
