He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Betty Jane R. Mertz; his son-in-law Ken Fisher; his grandchildren, Scott Fisher (Natalie), Matt Fisher (Kati), Jennifer Zinkl (Joe), Rachel Manion (Mike) and Aaron Mertz; his great grandchildren, Samantha, Cayden, Hudson, Alaina, Cole, Emma and Gracie Jo; and his sibling Cordell Mertz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John United Church of Christ (332 Old Sulphur Spring Rd, Ballwin, MO 63021). A burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at the same location.
