It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Leroy Hapes of Chillicothe, Missouri, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Hapes and Ila Hapes; his grandsons, Walker Raymo and Colton Frisbee; his brother Harold Hapes; and his brother-in-law Ron Hake.
He is survived by : his wife Beverly Hapes; his children, Dan Hutchison (Laurie) of Liberty, Cherri Callender (George) of Granite City, Mike Hutchison (Liz) of Eagle Lake, Penni Warner (Matt) of Holden, LeeAnn Hutchison of Columbia, Jill Smith (Rick) of St. Joseph and Kevin Hutchison (Natalie) of Chillicothe, Missouri; and his siblings, Elbert Hapes (Jeanie) of Great Bend, Kansas and Buena Hake of Smithville, Missouri. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
