She was predeceased by: her parents, Lowell Ewing and Irene Ewing (Kirby); her husband John William Hampton; her sister Opal Ruth Ewing Wood; her nephew Dennis Lamp; her grandparents, Frederick Lee and Emma Gipson Kirby; her uncles, Lee Kirby (Dorothy) and Gerald Kirby (Mary); and her aunt Evelyn Kirby.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Donna Bragg of Corsicana, Texas; her sibling's children, David Lamp (Connie) of Lubbock, Texas and Lisa Hampton Stephens (Chris) of Princeton, Missouri; her great-niece Payge Nelson (Riley); her great-nephew Dalton Stephens of Princeton, Missouri; her friends, Bub, Mona Cunningham of Chillicothe, Taylor Cunningham Perez (Paul) of St. Joseph and Tyler Cunningham of Chillicothe, Missouri.; and also Ember of Lineville, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lindley Funeral Home - Chillicothe (910 Washington St, Chillicothe, MO 64601).
