He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Burns and Mayme Burns (Hillyard); his wife Rebecca McClure; his former wife Lela Wave Burns; and his siblings, Charles Burns, Robert Burns, Fred Burns, Darwin Seymour, Lorie Seymour Carlton, Faye Seymour Moore, Virginia Burns Embree and Betty Burns Wright.
He is survived by: his sons, Gale Lee Burns of Colorado, Dale Gene Burns of California and Michael John Burns of Minnesota.
A graveside service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
