She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard "Art" Carberry and Maggie Carberry (Birkhead); and her husbands, Vincent Strange of Joseph's Church and Thomas Murphy, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, David Strange (Linda) of Jefferson City, Missouri, Patricia Kahn (Bill) of Solon, Iowa and Marcia Putnam (Roger) of Chillicothe, Missouri; her stepchildren, Mike Murphy of Chillicothe, Gail Murphy and Steve Prewitt of Buffalo, Missouri; her stepdaughter-in-law Paula Murphy of Chillicothe, Missouri.; and her grandchildren, Jason Strange (Leslie), Brooke Peters (Doug), Cameo Price (Landy), Brandon Kahn (Dulce), Craig Putnam (Ashley), Trent Putnam, Sarah Murphy, Shane Murphy and Ben Murphy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Columban Catholic Church (1111 Trenton St, Chillicothe, MO 64601). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Columban Catholic Cemetery (1111 Trenton St, Chillicothe, MO 64601).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions may be made to St. Columban Catholic Church and/or Festival of Lights and/or Forest O. Triplett Animal Shelter and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
