He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Paul and Eula Mae Summers (O'Dell); his wife Elsie Roberta; his sisters, Lois Blackburn and Vivian Bisel; and his siblings-in-law, Cliff, Bruce Acree and Elizabeth Sickler.
He is survived by: his children, Robyn Robitzsch (Shawn) of Chillicothe, Missouri, Randy Summers of Chillicothe and Daniel Summers (Katie) of Northville, Michigan; his grandchildren, Cassity Summers, Sydney Huddleston (Jordan), Samantha, Finnegan and Conor Summers; his great grandchild Benjamin (Milo); his siblings, Roger Summers (Maggie) of Warsaw, Missouri and Josephine Hawks of Hamilton, Missouri; and his siblings-in-law, Ora Paul Acree, Larry Acree, Gary Acree, Jim Acree and Diane Nibarger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
