He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Safarik and Vera Dunkin Safarik. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Donoho Safarik; his daughters, Crystal Gudgell and Adria Simecek (Michael Simecek); and his grandchildren, Mason Gudgell, Miles Gudgell, Morgan Gudgell, Lillian Phillips (Taylor Philips), McKenzie Simecek, Conrad Simecek and Karsten Simecek.
