He was predeceased by : his parents, Artie Gross and Marguerite Agee Gross; his wife Lodema Myer Gross; his sister Colleen Monroe; his stepsons, Jerry Griffin and Garry Griffin; and his great grandchild Chance Griffin.

He is survived by : his grandchildren, Jeanna Griffin Stevenson of Clarence, Jennifer Griffin of Clarence, Casey Griffin (April) of Clarence, Tracy Grifin (Angelica) of Springdale, Arkansas and Jerry Ray Griffin (Devri) of Springdale, Arkansas; his niece Nancy Monroe of Brookfield; and his nephew John Monroe of Columbia, Missouri. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
