He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Marie Wilke Burkemper and Victor Burkemper; his parents-in-law, Robert and Grace Jungermann; his brother Bob Burkemper; his sister-in-law Linda Burkemper; his nephew Scott Burkemper; and his granddaughter Lillian Hemphill.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Burkemper of Clarksville; his children, Amanda Hemphill (Luke) of Clarksville and Ted Burkemper (Kirsten) of Eolia, MO; his grandchildren, Blake and Lauren Hemphill; his daughters, Olivia, Abigail and Ella Burkemper; his brother Gene Burkemper (Terry) of Elsberry, MO; and his siblings-in-law, Ken (Janis) of Langley, OK, Mary Jo (Dick) of O'Fallon, MO, Nancy Schlesinger (Gary Mudd) of Silex, MO, Shirley (Karl) of Winfield, MO, Rob (JoAnn) of Moscow Mills and Jim of Troy, MO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
