He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Chiles and Evelyn Chiles (Long); his wife Donna Kendrick; his brother Bill Chiles; and his grandchildren, Luke and Elizabeth Chowning.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kim Bruns (Darrick), Julie Chowning (Mike) and Jamie Chiles (James); his stepson Jon Blankenship (Pat); his grandchildren, Brittany, Seth, Emily, Caleb, Lyndsey, Jacob, Matthew and Ashlyn; his great grandchildren, Rowan, Kamrynn and Beckham; and his sister Martha Knight (Stan). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
